About Auli, Chopta & Rishikesh
Eight days across Garhwal on one loop out of Delhi. Two nights at Joshimath with a full day up at Auli on the chairlift, then across to Chopta for the Tungnath and Chandrashila climb, the mirror lake at Deoria Tal on the way down, and two days in Rishikesh for rafting and the evening Ganga Aarti before the overnight run back to Delhi. Travel is by tempo traveller with a trip captain on board throughout.
- Auli — ski slopes and meadows, reached by chairlift from Joshimath
- Nanda Devi and Nar Parvat from the Auli ridge
- Tungnath — highest Shiva temple in the world
- Chandrashila summit, 360° Himalayan views
- Deoria Tal — the lake that mirrors the snow peaks
- All four Prayags on the drive: Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Nandaprayag
- Bonfire evening at Chopta
- White-water rafting on the Ganga at Rishikesh
- Ram Jhula, Janki Setu and the sunset Ganga Aarti
Auli's open ski meadows, Chopta's forest and temple trail, and the river town energy of Rishikesh — a week that would normally take three separate bookings.
Chandrashila is 12,110 ft, but the climb from Chopta is only about 4 km each way on a stepped trail. Reasonable fitness is enough; no technical skill is needed.
The Joshimath to Auli chairlift and the local cab to the lift station are both covered, so the Auli day is spent on the slopes rather than getting to them.
A young open-group batch travelling together in one tempo traveller, on shared rooms, with a trip captain from the Delhi pickup to the Delhi drop.
Ideal for: Backpackers, solo travellers and friend groups aged 18 to 40 who want snow, a Himalayan summit and the Ganga in a single week off work.
